CatéGPT: artificial intelligence in service of discovering the texts of the Church
Introduction
CatéGPT was born from the desire to make the foundational texts of the Catholic Church accessible to as many people as possible. The goal is not to replace the Church or priests, but to help users discover the answers already present in Sacred Scripture, the Catechism, the Councils and the documents of the Magisterium. CatéGPT is part of an effort of transmission, formation and discovery.
Why CatéGPT?
The name CatéGPT brings together the Catechism of the Catholic Church and modern artificial intelligence technologies. The goal is to put these technologies at the service of spreading the intellectual and spiritual heritage of the Church.
Our philosophy
Artificial intelligence is not meant to replace the reading of the texts. On the contrary, it should help discover them. CatéGPT always encourages direct consultation of the original sources.
Our identity
The CatéGPT logo shows a hand holding the keys of St Peter. The gold key symbolises the Church, the silver key technology, and the digital network extending the hand evokes artificial intelligence. Together they express the meeting of Catholic tradition and contemporary tools.
